Understanding Drawing

Getting the basics of drawing technique right is really important because drawing is an effective way to communicate in architecture if it's done right and proper.

So we have a little on the spot group project to have our first taste in drawing. And in comes our lecturers bringing in all sorts of...vegetables. We're required to draw our assigned vegetable from different perspectives. And we got the okra. A ladies finger hehe.

And after that we have a little presentation on different types of drawings. As there's different fields in the construction industry, there are also different types of drawings used depending on each field.

We got the interior designer. And in interior design, we found out that one has to provide the obvious floor plans and section drawings to communicate their ideas. Oh and we also have drafting and sketches and certain drawing symbols to look out for. This is our findings in presentation style.

We have a lot of fun especially drawing vegetables lol. Drawing it in detail is the challenging part, as for our okra, we had to take note of the little hairs on its skin. But overall it's a good time - cue our all ladies fingers groupie.
